What type of associates degree do I need to get into a Human resource roll?

I am 52 and going back to school to eventually get a role in Human resources. I will need to start with a focus on getting my assoicates- while I work, and then will work on my bachelor's degree. I would also like to do this online. I see so many options and suggestions from AI on what I need to do , but I would like to here from some professionals. What would you suggest? What type of associates and what online school would you suggest?

Congratulations on pursuing a degree in human resources! As you can imagine the trend for HR is leaning towards technology, data, compliance, and employee experience. You may want to consider Bryan University - Associate of Applied Science in HR Management or Champlain College Online. Both are fully online and oriented toward the intersection of technology, compliance, and employ experience.

You should double check on whether the Associates degree will add any value and how much more it'll cost. I don't believe it value and hence any time and $s obtaining it maybe wasted.

I'd start with looking for jobs that you're interested in and what degrees they require. That may give you an idea of what degree/major to pick and what colleges offer that degree. Deciding between online vs in person maybe tougher. You'll have to do research on school reputation and employer acceptance of online degrees.

A lot would depend on what your past experience has been, and in which industry. Business related, Administrative usually make sense. It depends on the organization too. I know of organizations that value solid industry experience, coupled with the people and leadership skills, for HR roles.
