Hello,

I saw that your other question is regarding the computer science field. If you wish to take on-line classes - check out University of the People at https://www.uopeople.edu/ They do not have many majors to choose from - only: Computer Science, Health Science, Business Administration and a newly created Master's in Education. However on the plus side, they are very cost efficient. They boast of being "tuition free" which is true; however, there are a few nominal fees. $60 for registration, $100 per class and $17 per transfer credit. All class resources (books, etc.) are provided in an on-line form for free. They also offer scholarships. Best of luck to you.

Dannie’s Answer

Additionally to what have already being suggested, I think a great way to pay for college is find employment with a company that offers Tuition Reimbursement. I've had the opportunity to get both my Undergrad and Grad degree using Tuition reimbursement option from my company. I had an Associates Degree prior to starting, however it helped tremendously to use Tuition Reimbursement. Some companies gives unlimited, others $5k, 10K per year, etc. So this is a great option.

Jarhud it is wonderful that you are thinking about college. I suggest applying for scholarships first. Secondly I recommended applying for education grants. Student loans would my last option because they have to be paid back with interest.

Jacqueline’s Answer

The best way to pay for college is to go for free. That could be through a grant, scholarships, paid internships, etc. I will focus on two items, scholarships and investing. I believe that if you hone in on your skills you can find scholarships that support your dreams. I applied for over 40 scholarships when I was in school and I was able to use my strengths and areas for opportunity on the applications and in interviews. I also recommend that if you obtain a summer job that you invest the money in a guaranteed payment fund (like a certificate of deposit) so that overtime you earn money to continue to pay for school.
