What are the best scholarships for those in an early college highschool and in the top 5% of their class?

I attend Arlington Collegiate High Schol and I am a Senior. I rank third in my class and I just want to know what scholarships might I need to apply for to get a full ride at the University of Texas at Arlington. #scholarships #engineering #UTA

Hi Neaz A. Thanks so much for your question. I see that you posted this question a little while ago so I hope my answer to you is still helpful.

Local libraries, are a free and excellent source for researching scholarships based on potential desired disciplines, for example. For you (or others that may read this), if you are in the top 5% of your class, you likely also have a guidance counselor in your school that has a role for advising on tools and references that can be used to research scholarships.

On a personal note, I was the beneficiary of many college scholarships, most of which I learned about through sources like Kaplan and my high school guidance counselor.

The "best" scholarships may be those that offer the most money or focus on a specific discipline (many of them are STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) focused) or for a specific school.

In any case, there is a lot that you can learn about good scholarships. Keep in mind that most of these scholarships have consistent requirements including essay writing and recommendation letters from teachers.

Good luck!

Hello Neaz. I am excited to see that you are interested in furthuring your education and proactively looking for assistance. I saw that one of your hash tags was engineering. I recommend to look into the Stokes Educational Scholarship Program. This is an Undergraduate Training Program. It's a program that focuses in computer science or computer/electrical engineering. This program will also give you work experience with a year-round salary.

I hope this helps you and wish you the best of luck.
