what type of internship can i get after bachelor in software engineering without any job experience.

I am an international student. I am doing master in information security system ,i got my bachelor in #software engineering and i need some #internships internship related to computer science for my course work but i have no experience so how can i get this please help me i will be grateful for this favor.

Hi Sameea,


According to my experience, to find internships in high tech companies (such as facebook, google, amazon) there are several things to prepare.


  1. update your resume, you can add details to your resume, such as the projects you've done in your school.
  2. apply for many companies on line, or get reference from friends who currently working in those companies. Usually you can get 1 phone interview per 5-10 applies.
  3. Prepare the interviews. by knowing the culture of the company you like, the company's mission.
  4. Usually High tech company will ask data structure, algorithm question, such as sorting, binary tree, stack, queue, back tracking, dynamic programming related question.
  5. Be confident.

know the culture of the company who gives you the chance to interview.

Hi Sameea F,

it is quite normal to get an internship without prior job experience. There has to be first time:) I did not have any internships before my first full time job after I graduated.


Here are something that you can do:

  1. Use Linkedin to connect employees in the companies that you want to work. Ask them to refer you.
  2. Go to career fairs of your school or even go to other schools and talk to those recruiters.
  3. Prepare your resume well. Put any related course projects to your resume to demonstrate your ability to learn, which is quite important for a software engineer.
  4. Prepare any kind of interview questions. I highly recommend using hackearth to prepare interviews.

New Grads at tech companies are a big pool of new talent. I would update your resume to list side projects, hackathon projects, TA experience to show value to your future employee.
