Go to class. Plan to spend 2-3 hours studying for every hour of lecture. Attend your professor's office hours and any TA review sessions. If there is a test bank, use that as a study tool to understand what your professor wants you to focus on for the test.

Trenton,

In addition to study, if your goal is to apply medical school, you need to focus on some additional aspect:

  1. Decide a time that you will take the MCAT test, plan out how you are going to study towards it.
  2. Medical schools do care about the humanity aspect of the applicants, so built up your experience on this aspect.
  3. If there is any opportunities, do some biomedical research and get to know and learn different biomedical fields.

All these will help you build a strong portfolio as an applicant.

Good luck!

Identifying what type of learner you are is the first step. Then, try to review the information 3 times in that format--which could be reading, rewriting notes, watching videos on the subject, listening to audio, qbanks, etc.... What worked for me was 1) attending lecture and taking notes 2) rewriting notes within the same week of the lecture 3) re-reading the notes before any exam

Good luck!
