Rachit (Richi)’s Answer

Hi Breanna,

I am unaware of Coalition App but Common App is a platform for students to apply to multiple colleges on one portal whereas college's application is specific to the particular college. When I was going through this process, the colleges had no preference on how you submit the application. For the most part the questions were the same too!

Each school subscribes to a different application method, or in the cases of many, several application methods. You only need to complete a single application for each school. To save yourself the most time and effort, it is good to do the same application method for each college you can -- like applying through the Common App for every school you can.

Rachel’s Answer

Texas has a common application that is the accepted application by all of the public schools. It is a great way to save time during the application process because you are not having to reiterate the same info over and over again. Some schools will not accept this common application, and their application will be more time-consuming.
