Hi Veronica,
To be perfectly honest with you nursing school is hard. Many people say it's harder than medical school. Not just the academic work, but with skills and learning so much in a short amount of time. That being said, I met some of my best friends in nursing school. We encouraged each other, studied together, and practiced in open skills lab together. As long as you can find a group of people, or even just one really good study-buddy, you will get through it. Besides, it's only a few years, and then you have the rest of your life to do what you love.

Being a nursing student is stressful, hard, and rewarding all in one. I attended the University of Memphis for my BSN. It was a total of 5 semesters.
The first semester consisted of learning the fundamentals of nursing. I had 4 lectures and 1 simulation class. I managed to work a few hours on the weekend, but it did consume my life.
The second-fourth constituted of classes and actually working In the hospitals. These semesters were harder because you had to maintain class work and hospital work. It really tested my ability to multi task, and time management.
The last semester consisted of strictly working In the hospital and preparing you for actually being a nurse.
All in all nursing is hard. A good support system, friends, and building a relationship with your professors will get you through nursing school. Be prepared to study, give up a little free time, but it’s all worth it in the end.
Good luck hope this helped!
