Is the amount of work and school to become a medical student worth it?

I’ve been very interested in the medical field except I do not want to go to school for all my life. Are there any jobs in the medical field that do not require so much school but still make good money? #school #medicine

Yes! It is absolutely worth it. There are a lot of long hours studying in the library followed by long hours in the hospital, but it is a fulfilling career. There are so many opportunities after medical school... different specialties appeal to different individuals. Or you can follow a nonclinical route in research or even hospital administration.

You are correct in saying that medical school is a long commitment. After college, expect to be in school another 4 years for medical school, and after graduation you enter residency, which can last between 3 and 5+ years, depending on specialty.

Many do not know about physician assistant programs. It is a shorter time commitment to become a PA, you don't have to do a residency (but you can if you want), you will be working alongside the MDs caring for patients and doing procedures, and the pay can be quite good.
