Try to keep things simple. If you are feeling overwhelmed, take a step back and look to see what things you can cut out or de prioritize for a bit.

Take the course load which you are comfortable with, keeping in mind the time you need for working (in case you are working while going to college), social activities, and other activities (such as sports). Do not overload yourself with courses in case you cannot handle them. Do not be concerned at all if the slow pace you take means you end up completing college in, say, 6 years instead of 4 years since you will be way better of , financially and socially if you complete college. And you must plan to complete college even if it means you may take more than 4 years. Do not be discouraged or be pessimistic at all, and do not pay attention to nay-says. be strong, set yourself a goal to complete college and get is done! Good Luck!

Find an outdoor sport which will help you keep yourself active as well exhausted to get a good sleep at night. Also, have a good company of friends to socialise.

Hi Roseanna, It is a great question and I see you got lot of good pointers from everyone here. I would like to add that if possible find out the root cause of the stress - Is it due to exams? Too many projects? Job pressure or something else which is not related to studies? .
Once you identify the reason make that item as your topmost priority and come up with clear steps how to address that. From my experience once you start working on a particular goal stress would go away. Also, what Ishant has suggested is a very good idea- find out your hobby and start spending some time on that everyday which will take your mind off the stress and you will be happy soon.
