What should I do if I can’t get in to the college I want?

The acceptance rate is low and I don’t feel confident about my chances.

Is there an alternative school?  maybe one that is easier to get into?  Or a community college that you could attend - you could demonstrate your commitment and use your success there to potentially transfer into the school you think is difficult to get into.  Don't give up!

Hi William:

Thank you for your question. I recommend that you broaden your range of schools to apply to. It could be from top choice to least. Also, you may want to consider a community college or technical school. Work hard and you could transfer to the college of your first choice. My nephew went to a community college and later transferred to a large university. He's now succeeding on his journey to become a medical doctor. You can do it too!
