In order to narrow down the schools you will apply to, try finding a couple of "stretch" schools and then some safety schools as well.
Some of the things you may want to consider are:
- What are the schools academic requirements for acceptance? (GPA, SAT/ ACT Scores, etc)
- Is the school in a place you would like to live for four years?
- What would you like to be when you graduate? Will this school help you become that and provide those opportunities?
Once you have done some research on the above items, try making a visit to the school to see how you feel on campus and also try to visit some classes to see how the class sizes are. Many high schools offer a couple of days each year that can be used for college visits- make sure to use them!
