Where is the most complete list of available scholarships for a college freshman going to school in Kansas?

I will be graduating from high school in May of 2019 and going to an in-state college to study engineering technology.

Dylen,

Sorry for the late reply but the information might still be helpful to you or to others.

There are many places around the internet where you can find good scholarship information. Some are more focused than others. One good place to get information is Scholarships.com. They have a page that lists scholarships by deadline, listed below, along with other categories.

Another good place to get scholarship information is in printed books. There are a few publishers that will collect a very large list of scholarships with requirements and release a rather large book containing it all. When I was stationed in Japan, we had a few copies of these that would circulate around the squadron, you could browse through and quickly find ones that you could apply for.

Alex’s Answer

Hi Dylen,

When I was applying to colleges, I conducted online research to find a list of scholarships. In addition, your high school guidance counselor will probably have a list of scholarships you can apply to. In my experience, I was able to find small local scholarships through my church and YMCA to apply for. You should keep those in mind when looking for scholarships.

You could also apply for federal student aid through this process: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa. Federal student aid is not a scholarship, but it will help with the cost of college.

Good luck!
