Hi Priscilla,
It is very normal to have anxiety in certain situations. Firsr off, you are doing the right thing by thinking about different scenarios. Over time you will learn how minimize those scenarios and adjust quickly. For now, some of the ways you can ease anxiety is to simply take a second to breathe. Breathing will lower your heart rate and allow you to calm down. When I'm faced with a tough situation that would give me anxiety, I would get my mind off the topic and sleep on it. Someone's once told me that for every tough decision, he thinks it over with his pillow. I have adopted that technique and it has really helped me with my anxiety. Everyone deals with anxiety in different ways and I am sure you will overcome your anxiety.

Hi Priscilla!
There are many ways to ease anxiety but what is important is to find what is best for you. Alot of times we are hard on ourselves. Carve out some time daily to find your "happy" whether it be a phone call to a loved one, going for a walk, working out, playing with a pet, watching your favorite TV show, making your favorite snack etc. Coloring is one of my favorite activities that eases anxiety and just lets me escape for a bit.
Find your happy and remember that everything will always be okay :)

Hi Priscilla,
Thank you for the question. It is actually a very common exercise to think of all the possible scenarios that could occur before doing something. While it does help in preparing ourselves mentally for a task or event, it can definitely weigh us down if the thoughts are not positive. The brain and mind can even sometimes allow us to feel emotions that would be brought by the different thoughts and scenarios we think of. In my experience the trick has always been to stop myself, take deep breaths, and remember that "Everything will be alright". The outcome may not always be as we plan or envision it but that doesn't necessarily make the outcome bad. Try to maintain confidence in all that you do and believe that you are making the right decisions. One question I ask myself when I start to feel anxious is "What is the worse that could happen?". That has helped me to realize that some things are not the big deal we make them to be.
Somethings you can do to ease anxiety are learning breathing exercises, practicing meditation, and building confidence by doing things such as public speaking. You can also find a positive affirmation that you can recite to yourself.
