If anyone has any advice on how to become a Physician's Assistant please share!

I really want to pursue this career because I am very interested in healthcare and just helping others. I know it's not an easy journey. I gotta keep my grades up and get some healthcare experience under my belt before I even consider applying to grad school. #career-counseling

Hello Priscilla: Great that you have your area of interest selected. To become a Physician's Assistant requires a mild variation of coursework based on the college you choose to attend. Overall, there are some very similar requirements including, a large Science and Math foundation. In the sciences, you can expect to take Physiology and Anatomy, and Organic Chemistry. My understanding is that the program is very similar to a Medical Doctor's coursework. Undergraduate studies will include english, history, psychology or a social science, introduction to technology and research, and communication. The remainder of the coursework will be in math and sciences. To be certain of the specific classes, go online to the college you are considering attending and review the courselist for the PA major an example is the program offered at Emory: the Pre-med major.http://prehealth.emory.edu/explore/physician-assistant.html (copy and paste into your address bar. You can do the same for the PA major for graduate studies at the universitie's website you are considering.

Good luck in your PA pursuit!
