I am in my first year of college and plan on being a chiropractor. What are some things I can do now to make my application stand out when I apply to chiropractor schools?

Hi Haylie,

#1 thing you can do: volunteer or get work experience in the field you're interested in. Reach out to local chiropractors and ask to do informational interviews, see what they do/don't like about their job. See what schools they suggest! See if they need help in their office. You can also volunteer at hospitals, physical rehab centers, anywhere where you get an idea of the administrative work and some face-to-face patient interaction.. etc.

Hospital volunteerism would look great on a resume as well as showing any areas that you excelled in while in school that aligns with that field.
