Looking at it from an educational perspective, moving to France could be a great chance to learn about the country and its educational advantages. However, if you're hoping that France will offer you the best prospects in terms of education and salary as a software developer, I'd advise you to reconsider.

France is known for having some of the lowest paid software engineers, mainly because the IT industry there hasn't developed as much as in other European countries. For example, Germany has attracted a significant number of tech companies looking to expand their operations.

In the software industry, the school you attend doesn't necessarily dictate your credibility. This is one of the few fields where it's not about who you know, but what you know. You're likely to land a job with a degree, regardless of the prestige of your school.

However, one potential downside of a basic computer science degree from a school with limited options is that it may not allow you to develop your CS skills as you'd like. For instance, does the school offer machine learning for AI? Can it provide a comprehensive list of front-end technologies for aspiring front-end developers? Does it provide access to AWS or Azure cloud technologies for building microservices and gaining experience with cloud tech?

Just because a school offers a CS degree, it doesn't necessarily mean it can cater to your specific needs as a developer. So, I'd recommend doing some thorough research before making such a significant commitment.
