I would say to do as many practice questions as possible to test yourself and discover where the knowledge gaps are. You can usually find these in textbooks at the end of each chapter or unit. I also use flashcards for names of anatomical structures and their corresponding function because a key idea to remember when studying anatomy and physiology is that structure is always related to function and vice-versa. In fact, you can easily guess a tissue or organ's function simply by knowing the structure of the tissue or organ.

Good luck!

Hi, Shelby!!

Being a healthcare professional is hard but getting there is even harder!!

I would suggest the Pomodoro method. You break up your studying into blocks of time. Typically this is for 25 minutes and then (this is important) you STEP AWAY for 5 minutes. Do this for a round of 4 sessions and you will be surprised at how much you retain!

Good luck!
