Careers in atmospheric and oceanic sciences include the study of the physics and chemistry of clouds, gases, and aerosols (airborne particles) that surround the planetary bodies of the solar system and/or using global climate models to identify and understand large-scale changes in the hydrologic cycle under climate change, with a particular focus on heavy precipitation and drought.
