Ken’s Answer

You can get some good information regarding studying by

  • talking with your academic adviser about study techniques, classes that might help you to learn new study habits, and study groups of people who study together
  • talking to your professors, as they might have some good tips since each course might have a better way to study based upon the content of the course

Carolyn’s Answer

Studying in college is different than high school. A lot of the skill is linked to time management. Also it depends what type of learner you are. Contact your professors and find out what their tests are about and what type (essay, multiple choice)-this can help in terms of if you should remember facts or concepts. Most colleges offer study skills workshops or related possibly through the counseling or learning services or academic advisement departments.
