How can I minimize how much I change my major.

I know an average student changes their major more than three times. This just adds up to time and money. #college-student #major #student

Generally the real question here is what do I want my career to be, thus choose a Major that lines up with that career. If you have several "ideas" of what you want your future to hold, I would recommend finding a few business in your area and ask if you can volunteer or "shadow" them for a few days or a week. If you ask enough, someone will let you. This way you really see what your day to day life would be like after college. From that you should be able to determine what field you are interested in. Who knows, from this experiance you might even get employment at a company that will also provide college assistance.

Hello Sujeong. First, I would try to do some research on your own to see what areas you are most interested in. Once you have a few selected, I would take some intro level classes in each of these areas. For example, if you can narrow it down to business, engineering, and biology, I would take an intro class in each of these areas to see which you enjoy most. A lot of colleges have extra hours to allow you some leeway to take classes that may not end up applying to your major. Some of these intro classes may also knock out some of your gen eds that you have to take your first few years. I would try this out and test the waters both before taking classes and while taking classes. I hope this helps!
