If I finish my two year vocational program, will I be able to later go to a 4 year program?

Im going to Parkland College in Champaign Illinois currently to be a certified Ford ASSET Technician and get an associates degree in Applied Sciences. After I finish this program, in a few years, will I be able to take that associates degree to a 4 year school and get more education?

Great Question. The best thing to do is to obtain a course list from the vocational school and next speak with a counselor at the 4 year college you'd like to attend and they will tell you which if any courses will transfer. This will help you determine the path you'd like to take.

Vocational schools are great! I went to one for 2 years for Interactive Media and I received great trainings and certifications. If you are worried about the bridge between the vocational school and the 4 your program speak with your advisor or counselor and see what the criteria is for that bridge. Even then, the vocational school has prepped you with skills you wouldn't have learned in high school!
