What do I need to major in if I want to be a pharmacist?
For the sake of saving money, I want to go to my local community college for the first two years and then transfer to a four-year institution. However, my community college doesn't offer a pharmaceutical science major. I am considering going to an out-of-state community college but it'd just waste more money in the long run. Are there any majors that can be considered the equivalent of a pharmaceutical science major? #college-major #college #major #education

Chemistry and/or biology. Most of pharmacology studies are learned in graduate school, anyway. Most pharmacology schools mostly care about a related undergraduate degree. If you're going to a 2 year program, then moving to another school for the 4 year degree before applying to pharmacy school, it doesn't matter a whole lot what that is in, as long as it is related. Take chemistry and biology classes.
