Deadly Loans

As much as id like to stray away from them, but do people recommend taking out loans to pay for college? My goal is to be debt free from college yet still achieving my degree but I have many friends who have taken out loans to pay for college. Is that really a good idea? Are students bound to be in debt as long as there attending there 4 year institution? #student-loans

Student loans definitely seem to be unavoidable unless your parents set up a college fund for you or you choose to work while in college to help pay as you go. However, there is also the opportunity for getting awarded scholarships (through your university or external organizations) based on your academic performance or based on extra-curricular activities so make sure you do your research and apply for scholarships as much as you can. I did that during my college years and my scholarship awards cut my student loan in half.

Student Loans are definitely stressful. Unless you have money saved, more than likely to pay for college you will need the assistance of student loans. That being g said there are some things you can do to limit the amount you have to pay back. If there is money you don't use, send it back. Also put money aside when you can so you can repay once school is over. Good luck, you will do fine.
