Meridyth’s Answer

Hi Justin,

As you heard from the other responses, living on campus can be a great experience. It allows you more opportunities to be social and join clubs. It also teaches you accountability. You have to make sure you are eating, sleeping, cleaning, doing your own laundry, getting to class and doing homework. It's a great way to learn adult responsibilities. However, with living on campus, there is financial responsibility. It will cost more to live on campus then at home. There are programs available for you to help you with the financial part of the equation. You may want to visit the FAFSA website for ideas on student aid. Here is the website: https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/fafsa. Good luck on your search!

Richard’s Answer

There are so many adjustments during freshman year, it is probably better to live on campus. While adjusting to new people, greater work load and being away from your parents, you may notwant to have to deal with the challenge of cooking, cleaning and shopping for yourself.

Laura’s Answer

Def Stay on campus, at least for one year! Just to get the experience of being away from home and doing things yourself. Now if you don't like it or funds are tight then make the decision where you what to do next.

Natosha’s Answer

Hi there Justin,

As a freshman, I did not live on campus because I went to a local college. Looking back, I wish I would have chosen to stay on campus. There were several events and experiences that I missed out on. There were also times when my classmates decided to have an impromptu study group and that would have been great to help with my studies. It really depends on your personality and what you are looking to gain from your college experience. I honestly say go for it! Get the full 100% experience. Regardless of your decision, I wish you the best.

Thomas’s Answer

Hey Justin,

I would have to strongly recommend living on campus. The college experience is something like no other, a great time to build relationships and make new friends you will carry with you through life. It's also a great time to get your feet wet at adulting.

Best of luck in school.
