No, I believe that if a person is able to go through medical school you are able to do the job. Of course there will be situations where a emergency may occur but you instincts will kick in and you will be just fine. Maybe if you are unsure if this is the career choice for you , You can always volunteer at local hospitals so you can visually see what you are wanting than make a final decision if it is for you or not. I have many volunteers that we show around because they are unsure of what they want to do.

Being a surgeon is a very exciting and interesting career. Every day I get to meet new people, help them get through a difficult health problem. I get to literally look inside a patient and see the problem and fix it. There are times when being a surgeon can be difficult, when a patient is not doing well or when I have to give them bad news about their diagnosis. But overall it is a very rewarding career choice which is well worth the work it takes to get there. Good luck!
