Physical fitness is key. More specifically, get your swimming up. There's a big swimming component.
This group has a very high wash-out rate through their tech school, and it's important to do your research (there are many online resources) before committing, so that you know what you are getting into.

Eric, I have many friends in USAF pararescue both on the enlisted (PJ) and officer (CRO) side. I will say that physical fitness is an absolute pre-requisite to getting accepted into this program. If you are interested in becoming a PJ you should talk with your local Air Force recruiting office. If you are interested in Combat Rescue Officer (CRO) you should look to apply to a commissioning program such as ROTC, OTS, or the Air Force Academy. Once you are in those programs, you will have more resources available to you to get specific questions answered. In the meantime, you should watch "Rescue Warriors" to gain a little insight on the Indoc process and the infamous "Hell Week". I know this documentary series is available on Amazon Prime Video.
