Jake’s Answer

That is a hard question. I myself traveled 7000 miles (from Europe) to study in the US. Sometimes was really hard but my best advice is to keep focused. You'll met amazing people and definitely have a great time. Nevertheless, you need to achieve the degree so don't skip classes.

Taylor’s Answer

Hi Abigail! I decided to go to a college that was 9 hours from home. Personally, I found that I would squeeze in calls home when I walked across campus to class or activities. They were quick calls, but enough time to say hi and check in. I also was always sharing pictures with my family of the new places went and people I met. At school, I found some friends on campus that had family very far away too so it was another reason that we connected and became such good friends since we were all in the same boat.

Richard’s Answer

Agree with previous answers. I also want to add that you probably shouldn't plan on maintaining a romantic interest at home. Long distance relationships are too stressful.
