Is this website beneficial to my future?

I am using this for class because they think that this would help us find careers, but most of know how dim our teachers is and they just basically found anything that has "career" in the title. So is this a good a website to help my class #chs

Mundo. This is one of many sites that can help regarding careers. The big question is what fields of study interest you? What class are you taking? Note: You can also go on CareerBuilder.com, Monster.com or Indeed to see the different types of jobs that are out there, the responsibilities of those jobs and the skills required. If you provide me more information I might be able to better direct you.

Brenna’s Answer

First, let me say that I appreciate your skepticism -- you ask good questions, you are thinking carefully about what you actually want and who you should trust.

So my answer to your question about whether this website is helpful is: yes! There are many different career paths -- as many paths as there are people -- so learning to ask the right questions that matter to YOU and to evaluate the answers you get back according to what you actually care about...well, that is the single most valuable thing you can do for yourself and your career. You can read each answer, take what you want and do with it whatever makes sense to you.

So while a random person like me can't possibly know what your world and your experiences are really like, and the path each of is takes is both unique and challenging, it's also true that the folks here answering have all started somewhere and all built their story from the ground up. So keep asking! Keep wondering! There is nothing better you can do for yourself and your future.

The more specific you can be with your questions, the better the advice you will get. What do you love to do? What do you care about? Where do you want to be in ten years? Ask and the answers will come back to you.
