Douglas’s Answer
Hi Brian,
The short answer to your question is it is "all of the above" plus additional math courses that you didn't mention. But do not let that deter you. Take all of the math classes you can in high school and get comfortable with the various courses. Many people think that Engineers "love" math. That is not true, but engineers can do math. Think of it this way, math is a tool just like wrenches are a tool. Mechanics don't "love" wrenches , but they know how to use them to fix an engine. Likewise engineers use math to solve problems. Plus, math helps you to train your mind to focus on a problem and think logically to solve it. Very important traits for an engineer.
Good Luck,
Doug

Terry’s Answer
Brian, math is essential to engineering and you'll need to study all of the fields you mentioned. Typically, you would do algebra and geometry in high school, and then move on to calculus and other higher mathematics in college. You might even begin calculus in high school if you are ready for it. Best of luck.
