Misty’s Answer

Danny,

When talking money, each company is different. Depending on your skill set, some companies may want to put you on a low or (entry-level) salary while some may base your pay off of skill set vs experience. This would be something you would definitely need to speak about in an interview. Sometimes, you may also find that if you are looking at a position with multiple companies, you may be able to use this as a bargaining chip in order to help with things like negotiating pay.

Nationally, In 2017 the entry-level rate was about $16/hr. In Arizona, it was $13.70/hr.

Be cautious when looking at salary information. A lot of info will talk about "median wages." Median wages are not nearly as low as "entry level" wages. You will also want to ask about frequency of raises, etc.
