Hey Saylor, your question made me lol because those are truly very different fields. :P

I'm convinced you can have a rewarding career in either one of them. To make a decision I would try to figure out what a typical day would look like in both jobs. Then try and imagine doing this on a daily basis and decide which one you would be happier with.

You can also consider the economics of it and see which one pays more, which one offers more stability/flexibility (whichever you prefer) and career development opportunities. However besides money and stability job satisfaction is equally important, so don't just go with the financially rewarding option.

Another thing I want to suggest is: why choose?? I could imagine you really enjoy both make-up/creativity and forensics/science and dropping one for the other might make you unhappy in the long term. You could pursue a forensics career and do make-up on the side (e.g. on weekends for theater, weddings etc.)

I don't believe anybody but you can truly make this decision for you, but hopefully I could give you some pointers on what to consider.

Lara recommends the following next steps:

Read about/talk to people who are makeup artists and forensic scientists and gather as much information as you can.
While it's difficult to combine these two fields into one job/career, you could still do one as a main occupation and the other as a side gig or hobby.
