My mother is an airline pilot, she started off becoming a member of the EAA and began private pilot lessons. From there her passion grew and she wanted to expand to larger planes. She moved up to Learjet and eventually now at an airline. There are plenty of ways to work your way up to becoming an airline pilot. Check out your local EAA and see if there is a young eagles program with your local EAA too.
