Hi! I just found out this question really interesting.
I think you don't have to have a degree to be a youtube gamer. Yay! And I'm pretty sure in this modern tech world, you can actually become a youtube gamer anytime as you want to as long as you have the gadgets like a pretty good camera, good editing skills, crystal clear microphone, humor and knowledge of the game :)

And I am pretty sure you are going to nail it! Can't wait to watch your youtube in time! :)

Hey, the good news is that you do not need any university degree to become a YouTuber. However I'm not sure I want to recommend you to choose YouTube as a career, because it can be financially unstable. It's definitely a fun and creative way to engage with an online community, show your skills, and potentially make some/good money after a while. There are a whole bunch of teenager YouTubers, so you can start right away - if you haven't already. It takes some time and practice to establish an online presence with decent followers and views so the sooner you start, the better. (Talk to your parents about your plans, though.)

If you are serious about fostering a YouTube or Gamer career with a higher degree you can look into online media, communications, or marketing degrees. If you are interested in the technology behind video games, you can look into careers like game design, software/game development and engineering. You can even become a games tester and play video games for a living, while helping to improve and debug them. Whatever you decide it's awesome that you think about your professional future at this young age! :)

If you want to start a Youtube channel, do it now and learn by doing. No degree required.
