Courtney’s Answer

In my area (Texas) there are nursing homes and hospitals that have volunteer programs for ages 15 and up. Maybe you could check with your local hospitals/nursing homes.

Here's another option:

Lauren’s Answer

I second Courtneys answer! Volunteering at nursing homes, suicide hotlines, and other mental health facilities is a great way to build out your resume and gain exposure to the medical field and helping others.

Rachel’s Answer

You should also consider shadowing physicians in fields that you may be interested in. This provides you with information about what specialties may be a good fit for you and also provides the motivation you may need to study for those pre-med requirement classes.
