Karla, I was a patient for several chiropractic students, as a part of their internship. The day of a chiropractor seems about the same as a general practice medical doctor. But your patients are more injured than sick. The chiropractor seems to have a little more hands on than a D.O. or M.D. X Rays and Physical Therapy are a big part of the day. But mostly, you will do a lot of spinal adjusting. I tell anyone who wants to be a chiropractor, is that you have to be in real good physical condition. It takes a good amount of strength, to adjust people that may be bigger than you, on a consistent basis. The last intern, I was a patient for, was a lot smaller than me. And she moved me around a lot faster and quicker, than any of the other big male students. So don’t be discouraged. I feel that if you want to be a doctor, with a fairly low stress level, this specialty would be perfect. Feel free to message me, if you are able to do that, or ask me questions, in the future. Hi Karla - though I'm not a chiropractor or in the field, I highly recommend searching for "day in the life of a chiropractor" on YouTube. I'm sure you'll find plenty of content so you can better understand the typical day.
