Kathleen’s Answer

Being a Registered Nurse was the best decision I ever made. I love helping my patients and they appreciate me. It can be challenging when it is very busy but the rewards and income make up for that. If you can prioritize and enjoy learning everyday, nursing may be for you.

Lacey’s Answer

Yes, nursing was definitely the right choice for me. It was actually a second choice for me but since becoming a nurse I have held over a dozen different roles at multiple different companies. People always associate the job of nurse with the bedside nurse in the hospital but there are so many different roles and career paths which nurses can venture down. I done everything from bedside and public health to research and education. Make no mistake, nursing is hard work. You deal with patients when they are at their worst. I have been cursed at, punched at, kicked, and spit at but I've also got to coach student through nursing school and comfort families who've lost loved ones. If you want a career that always has potential for growth and change, nursing is a great choice.
