In general, nothing will come free, but there are lower cost options than either a Bootcamp or two-year degree

To begin looking into Data Science at a low cost, I found DataCamp to be quite helpful. Their instructional videos and courses assist you on a path to many options to learn the aspects of Data Science : Python, SQL, R.

I noticed the courses for Python fell in line with a Data Science Bootcamp I am currently pursuing.

If you get stuck with questions, ou simply Search online for what you need help with and many open community sources exist that probably have already asked the same question : W3Schools, Stackoverflow, and many individual contributors exist helping Data Science enthusiasts with guides, coding snippets and answers to questions

Other lower cost course options

Coursera

Udacity

if you become inclined to play with real data or learn more the mechanics of Big Data: AWS and Google offer free accounts to their Cloud services with access to free databases to practice SQL, querying, etc.

Kaggle.com is helpful when you are ready to dive into actual analyses and practice what you are learning.
