Shane’s Answer
There are many disciplines within the electrical industry but most have a 40hr work week with opportunity for overtime when the needs arises. You could be inside or outside and exposed to a multitude of conditions. There are utility electricians who work on power lines and substations. A maintenance electrician repairs and maintains all aspects of electrical equipment within facility. There are construction electricians and they build and install new systems or remodel existing space. Plus there are subgroups that do fire alarm/security, controls and network.
The options are plentiful and diverse.
