Amanda’s Answer

I want to start by saying my College career has taken decades. I wish I would have stayed in College right out of High school. Now I am 39 and have two more years going to school, part time because I need to work to live.  I am going to school for Bachelors in Business with a concentration in Human Resources.  I plan to use it to further my Career at my current job.  Stay in school and study hard, it will pay off.

Brian A’s Answer

I studied computer science because technology is forever growing and changing. I also had a minor in business management to help build the expertise needed to properly balance and approach the corporate aspects of my major.

Brian A recommends the following next steps:

With higher learning the key is to have a plan past the point of graduation. Before selecting a major/minor do research. Look for careers in the industry, talk to others that have graduated with the same major. Check for rises and declines in the need for that particular area as well as average salary and growth potential. Before investing years, assure your investment has both potential and your passion behind it to fuel a successful future.

Toussaint’s Answer

I studied Psychology because it is a broad field and gave me insight into human behavioral processes. I minored in Political Science to gain understanding of the laws that govern our society. I encourage a diverse course selection in college so you can truly experience multiple aspects.
