Teresa’s Answer

Greetings Mohamnasir:  You didn't list which job you were talking about, so I will talk about my job.   The most important part about my job as an engineering program manager  is the ability to manage risks so that projects stay on time and within budget delivering the features expected.    I went to UC Berkeley, and graduated with  a double degree in political science and journalism, then got a graduate degree in project management.  The salary ranges for my job (and other careers) are listed on glassdoor.com.

Teresa recommends the following next steps:

Go to glassdoor.com for salary surveys.
Go to payscale.com for salary surveys

John’s Answer

No matter the job, it matters on the effort you put into it and what you are hoping to get out of it. There are plenty of people working jobs they hate for a good paycheck. Do what you love and be happy with the compensation.
