Steve’s Answer

I'm someone who enjoys writing, has an interest in technology, and always wants to know how things work. Technical writing is a great fit for me because it hits all three of these interests. I get to learn about new products, and figure out how it works. Once I understand all of the ins-and-outs, I get to "piece the puzzle back together" in my write-up to explain it to the world.
I love this role because there's always something new to learn about, and try to figure out what makes it tick. It's also a common job need in most industries, so you have a ton of options. I've done everything from iPhone setup guides to Customer Support processes, to REST API code samples for developers, and more.
If you like writing, pay attention to the details, and are naturally curious, Technical Writing may be a great job for you!

Shavon’s Answer

I have interest in this field because I had a lot of challenges as a kid. I wasn't in an environment that was open to expression of feelings and thoughts. So I was that for myself. I decided I wanted to be for others what I didn't have for myself, and as I develop as a person, study and work with other people I have developed a love for helping others find their silver lining. One of the most fulfilling moments is literally seeing or hearing someone's stress ease up and them saying I think I can do this. That's why I've chosen this field.
