Polina’s Answer

I think we are moving in the direction of big data and intelligent analysis. I suspect as time goes on, a lot more of intelligent functionality will be added to the every day items we interact with. I imagine a lot of every day tasks will be helped or modified by technology, and it will become more ingrained in our lives. some of that is already happening - with intelligent homes, as well as app-ifying our lives - in financial and decision making sense. As we go forward, we will see technology move in the direction of analyzing vast amount of data collected on each individual, and making predictive choices for us.
I think we will run into a lot of tech ethics grey areas moving forward.

Austin’s Answer

Great question! That is definitely an interesting topic. More and more I am seeing things become digital. I think this will eventually lead to more augmented reality where the real world is not only overlayed with information being displayed but also the increase of "smart" devices. Different appliances that are able to sync together and give you more remote control. I think this could revolutionize transportation with things like driver-less cars.

Monica’s Answer

The digital future is so exciting! As more things become digital, we see things like robots that do more precise surgery at the direction of doctors. We also see how we can use technology to make our traffic flow better and maybe one day we will have a world where we will not ever have traffic jams again! We are starting to build "smart cities" that are going to start this wave of technology that will not only make the movement of data on cell phones, computers and tablets so incredibly fast, but become a start of a new way of living. It is a very exciting digital time that we live in!

Richard’s Answer

I am a radiologist. Eventually, computers will be as good or better than humans at image interpretation. I foresee a time, when a computer processes an CT or MRI and sends a report to the doctor with findings and recommendations without a radiologist viewing the study.
