Matthew’s Answer

Kevon,
Great question because this applies to all other fields of study. So my first bit of feedback is continue to be curious. The second bit of advice I would give is to invest in emotional intelligence and leadership. Technology is designed for people and so your investment in tech must also be an investment in people and people leadership.

You can take an emotional intelligence test to gauge where your EQ is. You can also read books to better improve your EQ. Involve yourself in team oriented projects as well. This approach will force you to test your EQ and leadership.
I hope this helps.

Another thing I've heard that is helpful, is try something new for 30 days. Every 30 days, incorporate a new way of trying something, but maybe use tech in a way you haven't thought of. Try a FREE online class or visit a store that has new technology you haven't used before. Try downloading a new app on your phone that is education based, or to learn a new language.

Always remember Technology will never replace people. I have observed people at different stages of their lives, also different ages that are drowning in technology. The best thing you can do is limit your time with technology interact with more people.

Hi Kevon. what kind of tech interests you? I would start by doing some informal research into the type of technology you have interest in and going from there.

Kevon, you have asked a very interesting and valid question.

Again this is just my observation. I work for a Tech company have been in this for over 15 years, I have personally seen people drown in technology if they do not limit their time and stick to that.
