Nija recommends the following next steps:

Complete a Bachelor's degree in Veterinarian Medicine or a related field.
Complete a four year Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine Program
Take the Licensing Exam to be a Licensed Veterinarian
Gain Experience to practice in the field. Work on training and obtaining your certification.
Network with other Veterinarians and build your resources and information. Figure out the type of setting such as clinical or an animal hospital or creating your own practice.
