My day is not the same every day.
As a Technical trainer I have to be prepared to conduct training to a class of engineers and technicians. I review the information that the students must know for that day. Once in the class I present the information to the students. I try to make it as fun as possible for them to learn. Helping them to understand the new information in many different ways based on their learning abilities. So i interact with many different people that have a different perspective on the technology than me. After the class has completed for the day I research the answers to the questions the students asked that I didn't know the answer to. Which gives me the opportunity to learn something new myself. This is why I love training/teaching because not only do i get to help others learn, I also get to learn.
There is an old saying "IF you want to learn something teach it".
The other part of my job when I am not training is to create the presentations used in the classes. This involves researching the information from as many documents that cover the topic. Using Word I would create a set of goals that I would expect the students to reach and then you create an outline as a map to get you to the goal. From the outline I use PowerPoint to create slides to be used to convey the information.
