John’s Answer
Start early to inspect construction projects and verified trades scheduled for the day. Oversee projects throughout the day and re-inspect projects at end of the day which is usually late.

For us in audit, we work on client projects. The accountants are on one project all through the business year while the IT auditors like us rotate around to different clients every two or three months, give or take. On a given day, we generally organize our emails and calendars in the morning, do meetings with the client to better understand the client's systems and request audit evidence during the day, and work on documenting and analyzing the evidence in the late afternoon/evening. A work day goes by quickly if there is a lot to do and many meetings to manage.

Samantha’s Answer
As a project engineer or project manager on a construction project my day starts early and I spend half my day outside on a construction site and half my day inside an office at a computer. My job is to coordinate drawings with architects and engineers and then utilize those drawings to build a building. The main focuses in a day are that the project is being built safely, correctly, and efficiently.
