Does Tech have dorm checks?

To piggy back on Jared's comment, I'd like to share my experience regarding overall dorm checks and room inspections.

When I was in college back in the day - we had a floor Resident Assistant (RA). This person was the floor attendant and she had her own room and space (no roommate). The RA was responsible for ensuring the floor was kept clean and orderly. She served as a resource to the students on the floor by providing answers to questions, help finding info the student needs, etc. The RA would come into our room for an inspection to make sure we didn't have anything that was in violation of the college. There was no specific time for a RA to check your room, no advance warning, etc.

As for dorm checks (ie, drills) - these type checks/drills occurred at anytime rather it was day or late at night.

I went to college a very long time ago and the college setting has definitely changed. I do not know if these tactics are still in place today. But, they did occur when I attended college and it helped to make our dormitory safe. I hope this helps. Good luck to you!

Hi Kyera -- To clarify: when you say "Does TECH have dorm checks" are you asking about universities with computer science degrees, or are you asking about a specific school (such as CalTech or California Polytechnic State University or something else)?
