Hi Aaliyah. There may be some slight overlap in required college courses (vet school would require you to take many basic science courses, some of which may overlap with environmental science). But I'm really not sure I see any direct links between studying environmental science and becoming a veterinarian. I think the answer to your question is more "no" than "yes". If you have an interest in both environmental science and animal health, here's what I would suggest: (1) ask questions about environmental science careers to understand what you can do with that specialty, (2) ask questions about jobs that allow you to work in animal health beside becoming a vet, and (3) try to find ways these two passions may come together. For example, could you be a biologist and work on issues of ecosystem sustainability? Could you work in the sustainability industry helping companies reduce their impact on ecosystems?
What is it about environmental science that excites you? What is it about veterinary medicine that excites you? DO BOTH.

If you want to become a vet, I would say definitely choose a major that closely relates to the field such as zoology, or go to vet school (UC Davis). However, I know that if you also want to take environmental science, then, I would highly recommend finding an animal hospital to intern at or shadowing a veterinarian. I think it's critical to get hands-on experience and knowledge/reference from a vet to become a vet yourself.
Thanks!
