Yakun’s Answer

We are living in a world of technology. Everything is being revolutionized by technologies such as Internet, Cloud Computing and Big Data. At least in the United States, medicine used to be a field that lags behind on adopting new technologies, but that is changing fast. The way how traditional medicine treats patients will change fundamentally during next few years.  I believe technology is the foundation and medicine will simply be a field that the technology will be applied, just like agriculture or telecommunications.

Haylee’s Answer

Studying medicine is a long career path, so if you go through medical school without the plan to become a doctor that may be a lot of extra work! Healthcare consultants have the ability to support healthcare technology from that lens - What I might recommend is studying business or technology related fields, with a minor in something like Biology, Chemistry, or whatever science you feel best fits with your interests in medicine!
