Great question! I don't think you can go wrong wherever you choose to go. If you are starting college, make sure to choose a place that offers a pre-med track as there are certain required courses you will need to have taken to apply to medical school. I would also suggest that during college you seek out opportunities from the career counseling office to shadow pediatricians to see what their lives are like firsthand. Medicine can be a challenging road but it is a very rewarding field and can offer a great deal of fulfillment. Good luck as you start your journey!

Hello Opeoluwa: It's awesome that you want to become a Pediatrician. Our little people always need good doctors; my son is a current resident Pediatrician. If you are looking for universities in the United States, check out these links:

I have a question for you. You mentioned that you want to become a Pediatrician because you love children. Are you aware that there are many other professions that work with children? Here's a site I encourage you to research. https://www.trade-schools.net/articles/jobs-working-with-children.asp

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to me by commenting on "this post". Remember, I have first hand pediatric resource that I could refer to for your "specific" questions. I wish you much success on your journey. Best of luck to you!
